About the Journal

With consultation with the Faculty of Science Coordinators of the conferences and protocol, research and seminars, as well as the quality assurance, I present the followings as proposal for a journal (faculty based-journal) for the Faculty of Science, Edo State University Iyamho (ESUI), Edo State, Nigeria, tentatively known as the ESUI Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences (EJOPAAS), which will be the official publication of the Faculty of Science, a university-based journal of the ESUI, Edo State, Nigeria.

Article Processing Charges

The journal is Open Access. Article Processing Charges (APC) allow the publisher to make articles immediately available online to anyone to read and reuse upon publication.

Types of Articles

Original Research Articles: A full-length article describing original research. It should not exceed 15 pages in length.

Review Articles: Reviews summarize studies on a specific subject by introducing the author’s own opinions concerning recent progress and future prospects to give a balanced assessment. It should be normally no longer than 20 pages.

Short Communications and Letters to the Editor: Could be;

  • An article on a new finding or an interesting aspect of an ongoing study that merits prompt preliminary publication in condensed form

  • A medium for the presentation of new research and techniques

  • Topics, opinions, or proposals that would be of interest to the readers

  • Criticisms or additional proofs and interpretations in connection with articles previously published in the institute journals. It must be no longer than 5 pages.
